Delete your frij account

This page explains how to request deletion of your frij account and the data associated with it. frij is developed and operated by the frij team.
Delete from within the app
The fastest way is directly in the frij mobile app:
- Open the frij app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted. Your account and all of its data are permanently deleted right away.
Request deletion by email
If you no longer have the app installed or can’t sign in, email [email protected] from the address on your account with the subject “Account deletion request.” We verify ownership of the account and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your login identity and profile (email and profile identifier).
- Your household and its contents — receipts and receipt images, food items, storage locations, dates, reminders, and logged consumption actions.
- Your subscription record, usage counters, and push-notification token.
If you are a member of a household you do not own, your personal contributions are removed or anonymized so the remaining members keep their own data.
What is kept, and for how long
Personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days of the request. We may retain limited records longer only where required for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or security reasons; these are kept no longer than the law requires and are not used for any other purpose.
